To configure a unique Adaptix™ Soft Jaw to suit your specific application, follow the steps below.

Adaptix™ Soft Jaw

Item:

Vise Brand and Model: i Brand of vise that Adaptix will be used with
Jaw Size: i Width of the vise that the Adaptix Jaw sits on top of
Step Height: i • 3mm – Engage 3mm of your part – Hold as little as possible to remove as much as possible • 6mm – Engage 6mm of your part – A safe amount to hold for most machining operations • 10mm – Engage 10mm of your part – For a really solid grab
Stud Material: i A stud inserts into the fingertip and is the direct clamping interface to the part being held. Choices available include: • HST (hardened steel) – Long wearing and strong (HRC 55-60) • AST (soft steel) – Alloy for a mix of part types and materials (4140) • ALU (aluminum) – Compliant and forgiving for softer parts and important surface finishes
Stud Profile: i A stud inserts into the fingertip and is the direct clamping interface to the part being held. Stud shape choices include: • RO – Round shape for the most versatility but creates a single point of contact to the part
